Shanghai (ZXZC)- Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Group Corp., Ltd. (JAC) announced on Dec 18 that it will set up the first plant in Brazil with an investment of nearly 200 million reals (about 60.75 million US dollars).

The plant in Goias, a central state of Brazil, will have an annual capacity of 35,000 vehicles. Besides, the project is expected to offer around 820 jobs .

“We have been working very hard on exploiting the market of Brazil. Finally, we did it.” Sergio Habib, the president of JAC Motors Brazil, made such an announcement during his meeting with Goias Governer Marconi Perillo.

According to Habib, JAC Motors expects a 40% growth in its sales in Brazil this year and aims to double its annual sales in 2018.
