BYD July sales breakdown: Han 25,849 units, Song 38,697 units

Since deliveries began in July 2020, BYD's flagship Han family of sedans has sold a total of 281,293 units.

BYD announced record July new energy vehicle (NEV) sales on August 3 and later provided sales of different models for the month.

The company sold 162,530 NEVs in July, bringing its cumulative year-to-date sales to 803,880 units, up 292 percent from 205,071 units a year ago.

BYD's flagship Han family of sedans sold 25,849 units in July, up 203.32 percent from 8,522 units a year ago and up 1.61 percent from 25,439 units in June.

The BYD Song family sold 38,697 units in July, up 20.64 percent from 32,077 units in June.

The Song family models are BYD's middle-priced SUVs, with a current price range of RMB 138,800 to 163,800 after subsidies, higher than the Yuan series but lower than the Tang series.

Since its launch, the Song family has accumulated sales of more than 1.25 million units, according to BYD.

BYD's Qin family sedan sold 34,114 units in July, up 28.14 percent from 26,623 units in June. The model has sold more than 690,000 units in total since its launch.

BYD's Yuan family SUV sold 22,172 units in July, up 12.37 percent from 19,731 units in June. The model has sold more than 330,000 units since its launch.

The BYD Destroyer 05 sedan sold 7,548 units in July, up 1.13 percent from 7,464 units in June.

The Dolphin, the first model of BYD's all-electric e-platform 3.0, sold 21,005 units in July, up 102.44 percent from 10,376 units in June.
