Shanghai (ZXZC)- Data from the China Passenger Car Association shows that the production of passenger vehicles(PV) in China in November reached 2.619 million, up 0.8 percent from the same period a year ago. Besides, the sales of PV in China last month were 2.553 million, with a slight increase of 0.2 percent year on year. The cumulative sales of the past eleven sales grew by 2.5 percent year on year to 21.618 million units.

Here, we use passenger vehicle in its narrow sense, which covers locally-produced sedans, SUVs and MPVs, and also includes the export passenger vehicles.

Last month, the wholesales of sedan dropped by 5.2 percent year on year to 1.213 million, but grew 9.7 percent compared with last month. The MPV wholesales were 214,500 units, down 9.7 percent year on year and up 18.5 percent month on month. SUV remained the sales driver of last month and created a record high of this year. The wholesales of SUV segment reached 1.126 units, making a year-on-year growth of 9.1 percent and a month-on-month increase of 9.3 percent.

Among the top 10 PV automakers, all showed growth except FAW-VW and Changan Ford. It is the first time for FAW-VW to drop out of the top three automakers this year. Changan Ford also fell to No. 10 last month from No. 9 in October. what’s more, there were 8 out of 10 PV automakers whose wholesales exceeded 100,000 units.
