BYD Yuan Plus launched in Singapore under Atto 3 name
BYD did not announce a price for the model in Singapore; it is priced in China at RMB 137,800 ($20,590) to RMB 165,800 after subsidies.
The model's exterior features the same new Dragon Face 3.0 design language that it uses for its flagship sedan Han.
It measures 4,455 mm in length, 1,875 mm in width and 1,615 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,720 mm. Getting the largest possible wheelbase on a fixed body length is an advantage of e-platform 3.0.
The car's interior features a rotatable center screen as well as a smaller instrument screen.
The BYD Yuan Plus sold in China has a drive motor with a peak power of 150 kW and a peak torque of 310 Nm, with an acceleration time of 7.3 seconds from 0-100 km/h.
The model is powered by a blade battery with lithium iron phosphate chemistry with an energy density of 150 Wh/kg and is available in two range versions.
It has a combined CLTC range of 430 km with a 49.92 kWh battery pack and 510 km with a 60.48 kWh battery pack.
The BYD Yuan Plus is currently available in five versions in China, priced from RMB 137,800 ($20,590) to RMB 165,800 after subsidies.
BYD did not mention the model's price in Singapore in today's press release, and its official website indicates that local consumers can reserve it for $50.
In April, the Yuan Plus was also launched in Macau under the Atto 3 name.
BYD sold 134,036 new energy vehicles (NEVs) in June, its fourth consecutive month of more than 100,000 units and a 224.02 percent year-on-year increase, data it released earlier this month showed.
The Yuan family - which includes the Yuan Plus, Yuan Pro and Yuan EV - sold 19,731 units in June, up 47.99 percent from 13,333 units in May. Cumulative sales for the series have reached 300,000 units since its launch.
