Nio ET7 in top 10 best-selling premium sedans in China for second consecutive month

The Nio ET7 ranked ninth in China's top premium sedan sales in May, moving up one spot from its first full delivery month in April.
After its deliveries began in late March, Nio's (NYSE: NIO, HKG: 9866, SGX: Nio) flagship sedan, the ET7, has ranked among the most popular premium sedans in China for the second consecutive month.
With 1,707 retail sales in May, the Nio ET7 ranked ninth in China in sales of premium sedans with a starting price above RMB 300,000 ($44,820), according to data released today by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA).
Deliveries of the model began on March 28, and May was its second full month of delivery and the second consecutive month on the list.
In its first full delivery month, the Nio ET7 sold 693 units at retail in April, ranking 10th among premium sedans, the CPCA's list released last month showed.
The BMW 5 Series was the most popular premium sedan in China, with retail sales of 15,564 units in May, down 7.7 percent from 16,868 units in the same month last year, according to the CPCA.
The BMW 3 Series ranked second, with 12,947 retail sales in May, but down 30.3 percent year-on-year.
The Mercedes-Benz C-Class ranked third, with 12,823 units sold in May, down 15.9 percent year-on-year.

Audi A4 ranked fourth, with sales of 11,658 units, down 9.3 percent year-on-year.
Audi A6 ranked fifth, with sales of 10,987 units, down 33.9 percent year-on-year.
Mercedes-Benz E-Class ranked sixth, with sales of 7,646 units, down 35.9 percent year-on-year.
Hongqi H9 ranked seventh, with sales of 2,083 units, an increase of 18.1 percent year-on-year.
Hongqi E-QM5 ranked eighth with sales of 1,785 units, year-on-year data unavailable.
The Volvo S90 ranked 10th, with 1,509 units sold, down 60.1 percent year-on-year.
Nio delivered 7,024 vehicles in May, up 38.43 percent from April and up 4.66 percent from a year ago, according to data released by the company earlier this month.
That includes 5,317 SUVs, including 746 ES8s, 2,936 ES6s and 1,635 EC6s. A total of 1,707 units of the ET7 were delivered in May.
The Nio ES6 ranked 10th among premium SUVs with a starting price of more than RMB 300,000, as announced by the CPCA today.
The Audi Q5L was the best-selling premium SUV in China in May, with 11,786 units sold, up 0.5 percent year-on-year.
Li Auto's Li ONE ranked second, with sales of 11,496 units, up 165.9 percent year on year.
The BMW X3 ranked third with sales of 10,500, down 28.1 percent year-on-year.
