Volvo Car delivers 100,000th vehicle of this year in China

Shanghai (ZXZC)- Today, Volvo delivered its 100,000th vehicle of this year in China. At the delivery ceremony, Yuan Xiaolin, Senior Vice President for the Asia Pacific Region handed the key of a S90 car to the buyer. 

Yuan said at the ceremony that to Volvo China, 100,000 is a milestone and also a result of the company’s long-term efforts. With the improvement of system and the launching of more products, Volvo shows strong momentum in growth and development. He showed great confidence in the future.

Last year, Volvo delivered 90,903 vehicles in China, up 11.5 percent from a year earlier. In the first ten months of this year, Volvo China sales reached 93,085 units, soaring nearly 30 percent compared with the same period of last year. What’s more, Volvo has a total of 600,000 users in China by the beginning of this month.

The special car is a S90 luxury sedan. Volvo defines the sedan as Scandinavian design, pure luxury and advanced technology. The company has started producing the long-wheelbase version of the premium sedan in China. And in April and June, locally-produced S90s have been shipped to Europe and the United States.
