Shanghai (ZXZC)- Even though Jiangling Motors (JMC) has launched many passenger vehicles in the past years, its core competence still lies in the commercial vehicle segment.

At Auto Guangzhou 2017, the all-new Transit with automatic transmission officially hit the market. The company’s Yuhu pickup truck, equipped with BeiDou Navigation Satellite System (BDS), also made debut at Auto Guangzhou 2017.

BDS is China’s global navigation system which has been developed independently. It is the third mature satellite navigation system in the world after GPS (Global Positioning system) of America and GLONASS system of Russia.

The above two models indicate that JMC plans to intelligentize all models and improve the convenience of commercial vehicles. Li Xiaojun, vice president of JMC, revealed that the company equipped BDS first on its own vehicles and the system would be available on its light passenger vehicles, trucks, heavy trucks in the future. Besides, models under JMC Ford brand will offer more intelligent driving features.
