BYD expects to sell more than 30,000 units of the Han series in a single month, a previous meeting minutes show.

The Han DM-p is characterized by strong performance, with a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 3.7 seconds.

Available in only one version, the model has a battery range of 202 km and is priced at RMB 319,800, down from a pre-sale price of RMB 322,800.

In addition to the new variants of the Han DM, BYD today also launched three new variants of what it calls the Han EV Founding Edition, including one version with a range of 610 km and two versions with a range of 715 km.

These three new Han EV variants are priced at RMB 288,600, RMB 287,500 and RMB 269,800 respectively.

On top of that, BYD announced a limited edition green version of the Han EV on April 4, with a green theme from exterior to interior.

BYD said today that the price of this green version of Han EV is RMB 329,800.

The release of these new variants is expected to further grow BYD's already high order backlog of hundreds of thousands of units.

BYD's flagship Han family of sedans sold 12,359 units in March, up 20 percent year-on-year and up 33 percent from 9,290 units in February, figures released by the company earlier this month showed.

BYD's cumulative undelivered vehicle orders reached 400,000 units and are still increasing month by month, local media Cailian reported late last month, citing minutes of the company's investor meeting.

BYD's Han DM-i model has received good order performance since its launch, and the Han series is expected to sell more than 30,000 units in a single month, the minutes showed.

In an announcement on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on April 3, BYD said it has stopped production of fuel vehicles since March 2022.

In the automotive section, BYD will focus on pure electric and plug-in hybrid vehicle business in the future, it said.

BYD's order backlog reportedly reaches 400,000 units
