Voyah's first MPV, the Dreamer, will go on sale on April 7, the premium electric vehicle (EV) brand owned by Dongfeng Motor said today.
Like the brand's first model, the Voyah FREE SUV, the Dreamer MPV will be available in an all-electric version as well as a version with extended-range technology, according to the company.
"As the world's first large luxury MPV with vehicle OTA support, it can always evolve," Voyah said on its official Weibo account.
The Dreamer MPV comes with three connected screens that support 5G connectivity for scenarios including offices and meetings, Voyah said.
Voyah unveiled the MPV on November 17 last year, positioning it as "the world's first large luxury electric MPV". It is also the brand's second model after the Voyah FREE SUV.
Based on Voyah's ESSA electric vehicle architecture, the vehicle measures 5,315/1,980/1,810 mm in length, width and height and has a wheelbase of 3,200 mm, previous information showed.
The vehicle will offer intelligent electric four-wheel drive and accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in as fast as 5.9 seconds, making it "the world's fastest MPV," the company previously said.
Earlier this month, Voyah released interior images of the model. The model appears to be positioned in a market where MPVs such as the Buick GL8 and Toyota Sienna are located.
The Voyah brand and the Voyah FREE were announced by Dongfeng Motor (OTCMKTS: DNFGY) in late 2020 to fulfill the traditional carmaker's ambition to enter the electric vehicle market.
The Voyah FREE goes on sale in China in June 2021, offering an extended-range technology version as well as an all-electric version with a price range of RMB 313,600 ($49,500) to RMB 363,600.
Voyah delivered 3,330 Voyah FREE units in December last year and has accumulated 6,791 deliveries since deliveries began in August last year. The company did not release delivery figures for January or February.
