Shanghai(ZXZC)-On Nov. 11, Li Shufu, Chairman of Geely Automobile delivered a speech on 2017 Global Future Mobility Forum. He said that Volvo is the first automaker who proposes to mass produce the autonomous cars in 2020. Partnering with Autoliv and Waymo, Volvo plays an important role in the development of autonomous driving. What's more, Volvo's cooperation with the parts supplier, Autoliv and the car hailing platform, Uber will vigorously promote the development of autonomous driving. He also added that they are expected to put around 10,000 autonomous cars jointly developed by Uber and Volvo into American market next year.

Li Shufu also added that Geely and Volvo and other large carmakers in the world are jointly developing an open pure electric modular architecture, PMA platform, to facilitate the development of electric vehicles in both China and the world. Now, Volvo adopts its highly automated driving technology, Pilot Assist on the mass produced model, the new XC90, and another model, the Volvo S90 features Volvo's latest autonomous driving system, the Pilot Assist Ⅱ.

During his speech, Li Shufu also first released Lynk&Co's product plans, including A+/B-class pure electric sedan and crossover, A+/B-class pure electric SUV, and a pure electric urban scooter and a purer electric family crossover.
