Shanghai (ZXZC)- Li Wei, Vice President of Changan Auto, revealed during the high-level forum on “Auto and Transportation Reform in Intelligent Network Era” held in Hangzhou on November 11th that, Changan Auto has obtained self-driving testing permission in California on November 8th, which would accelerate the development of Changan L4-level self-driving vehicle.

Currently, Changan Auto has mastered more than 60 technologies in intelligent interconnection, intelligent interaction and intelligent driving areas, represented by structured road L3-level self-driving technology and APA 6.3 automatic parking technology, which are in preparation for the oncoming mass production.

Changan Auto plans to launch more than 300,000 intelligent NEVs by 2020 to cover different transportation scenarios and provide complete solutions, for periodic vehicle renting and trial-driving businesses. In the meantime, Changan actively shares resources with other Internet giants by conducting strategic cooperation with Huawei, Baidu, Tencent, Nextev, Tgood, CATL, Intel, NXP and Alibaba. Till now, Changan has the maximum and most abundant consumer “3D” models covering all levels with continuous upgrades among all domestic brands.

Li Wei also shared his imagination during the conference that future vehicles would have more social factors including ideas and emotions.
