Shanghai (ZXZC)-Several spy photos of Geely's new hybrid plug-in model were exposed recently. Coded as FE-5HA , the new model is built based on the Emgrand GL.

Basically retaining the design style of the Emgrand GL's front end, the new model features Geely's iconic intake grille connected with headlights from both sides. It also maintains the same design cues of the front bumper and fog lamps with the Emgrand GL. It can be easily seen from the photo that there is a charging port on the left front fender.

The new model also retains the same design language of the rear end with the Emgrand GL, including overall styling, the taillights and the layout of one exhaust pipe on each side. Besides, it also employs the same interior design with the GL, it only changes a new electronic gear lever and adopts a multimedia control knob.

It is said that the new model will be powered by a 1.5 T+7 DCT plug-in hybrid powertrain system jointly developed by Geely and Volvo.
