Nio's pace of adding battery swap stations seems to have slowed down going into 2022. Now, however, the company seems to be picking up its pace again.

Nio added three new battery swap stations today, bringing the total number of facilities in China to 787, with 206 of them located along highways.

For comparison, between January 1-13, Nio added 7 new battery swap stations, up from 777 to 784.

One of today's new battery swap stations is located in Shanghai, where Nio has its global headquarters, and the company has added two superchargers and two destination charging stations in the eastern city.

To date, Nio has a total of 71 battery swap stations, 74 supercharging stations, 28 destination charging stations and access to 34,542 third-party charging piles in Shanghai.

As of January 14, Nio has 787 battery swap stations and 626 supercharging stations providing 3,532 charging piles in China. It also has 628 destination charging stations with 3,494 piles and access to more than 450,000 third-party charging piles.
