Tesla sent 4,410 China-made Model 3 vehicles to Europe at Shanghai's South Port on August 20, according to an article released at the time by the Administrative Committee of the New Lingang Area of the Shanghai Pilot Free Trade Zone.

This is the first batch of Tesla vehicles exported via roll-on/roll-off transport seen at the port, destined for the European port of Zeebrugge, the article said.

Roll-on/roll-off is a form of maritime transportation that uses a roll-on/roll-off vessel to ship the vehicle with the cargo, with the trailer and truck shipped with the cargo and not backed up.

The vessel is a Glovis Triton Ace, according to the article.
