Shenzhen city launches first autonomous bus route
On August 26, China's megacity Shenzhen inaugurated its first autonomous bus route, the B998 Autonomous Line, according to a post on the WeChat account "Shenzhen Fabu". The new route, B998, operates as a loop spanning a total distance of 5.44 kilometers. The service deploys five autonomous buses, with each round trip taking approximately 25 minutes to complete. Buses are scheduled to depart at intervals ranging from 30 to 60 minutes.
