BYD sold 91,219 new energy vehicles (NEVs) in November, up 242 percent year-on-year and up 13 percent from October.

That includes 90,121 passenger cars, and 1,098 commercial vehicles, the company said in an announcement filed with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange today.

Among new energy passenger vehicles, BYD sold 46,137 pure electric vehicles in November, up 153 percent from 18,220 units a year earlier. It sold 43,984 units of its plug-in hybrid vehicles in November, up 500 percent from 7,333 units in the same month last year.

From January to November, BYD's NEV sales were 509,838 units, up 217 percent from the same period last year.

It sold 500,922 new energy passenger vehicles in the first 11 months, up 231 percent year-on-year, and 8,916 commercial vehicles, down 5 percent year-on-year.

BYD sold 272,493 all-electric passenger vehicles from January to November, up 144 percent year-on-year. It sold 228,429 plug-in hybrids during the period, up 471 percent from a year earlier.

The company sold 7,121 fuel vehicles in November, down 74 percent from 27,253 in the same month last year. From January to November, it sold 131,181 fuel-powered vehicles, down 37 percent from a year earlier.

The company sold a total of 98,340 vehicles in November, up 82 percent from a year ago. It sold 641,019 vehicles in January-November, up 73 percent from a year earlier.

The company's total installed capacity of NEV power batteries and energy storage batteries in November was approximately 4.883 GWh, and the total cumulative installed capacity for the year was approximately 32.873 GWh.
