The all-electric compact car, which looks a bit like the Honda Fit, has accumulated sales of 19,582 units since its launch in August.

Four months after its launch as the first model of BYD's e-platform 3.0, the Dolphin has become one of the most popular electric vehicles (EVs) among Chinese consumers.

Figures released Friday by BYD show that the all-electric compact EV, which looks a bit like the Honda Fit, sold 8,809 units in November, up 46 percent from 6,018 units in October.

It was the fourth month since the model's launch, with cumulative sales of 19,582 units since August.
