Shanghai (ZXZC)-Shu Youxing, the General Manager of BYD Auto sales Co. recently was appointed as the first president of its Automotive Intelligent Ecological Research Institute. Zhao Changjiang, former Deputy General Manager of BYD will replace Shu Youxing to take over BYD car sales. Shu Youxing's entering of BYD Automotive Intelligent Ecological Research Institute symbols BYD's official entering into automotive intelligent ecological areas, guiding BYD's direction for future development strategies.

Different from other auto companies, BYD developed its business with a keen relationship with IT industry, owning a strong background of electronic technology and a long-term accumulation in NEV sector, and also covering a wide range of researching areas, including electrification and Internet. The establishment of BYD Automotive Intelligent Ecological Research Institute aims to integrate the current resources and technologies with future development trends, enabling BYD to make full use of its resources to develop automotive intelligent ecological system.

Shu Youxing, an experienced veteran in electronic technology area, has abundant experience in car sales with a practical mind. Shu's successor, Zhao Changjiang, who has served BYD for ten years, is very experienced in marketing and management.

At present, BYD keeps its leadership in NEV sector. Data showed that BYD took the first place of NEV sales for consecutive five months. In September, BYD delivered 11,709 NEV models, claiming the monthly sales crown of NEV consecutively. The cumulative sales in previous nine months reached 70,393 units. The sales of plug-in hybrid vehicles reached 8,376 units, accounting for 66% in the segment market.

With the introduction and implementation of dual-credit policy for NEVs, BYD, an auto company focusing on NEV sector, will be potential in NEV sector in the future. The establishment of the Automotive Intelligent Ecological Research Institute is a reintegration of BYD's resources, deploying for BYD's future technologies and trends.
