Chery’s overseas sales in previous nine months see a growth of 35%

Shanghai (ZXZC)-Chery Auto boasts 10 manufacturing bases, five subsidiary companies and 1500 dealers in foreign countries. In recent days, Chery released its overseas sales data, showing that it sold 80,056 units during the previous nine months with a year-on-year growth of 35%, and a cumulative export volume of more than 1,300,000 units.

In September, Chery sold 8,676 units overseas, representing a year-on-year increase of 16.2% and a month-on-month rise of 7.7%. On Oct. 11, the Chery Tiggo 7 was launched in Chile, marking Chery's another important model under its strategic transformation 2.0 series hit the overseas market. The new model will hit the market of Egypt, and Middle East, enhancing Chery's influence in foreign countries.

Moreover, Chery made its premiere at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show, signaling its ambition to enter into European market. At the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show, Chery launched the EXEED, a high-end product series under its 3.0 strategy, as well as the EXEED TX, the first SUV model of this series. Chery's plan for its 3.0 stage includes the T1X, M1X, M3X, NEV, etc., which can derive a wide variety of vehicle products, be compatible with different functions, and support platform matrix powered by different energies, making good preparation for realizing its full electrification.

Not so long ago, German government made a statement to ban fuel-based vehicles by 2030, and French government also said it would like to ban the sales of fuel-powered vehicles in 2040. Therefore, if Chery determines to enter into European market, it must spare no effort to develop pure electric vehicles. Chen Anning, General Manager of Chery Automobile Co., Ltd. said Chery would be one of the leading car manufacturers who only sell non-fuel-powered vehicles by 2025.
