Nio today added eight new battery swap stations, bringing the total to 634 and closer to its goal of 700 by the end of the year.

One of the battery swap stations is located in the Sinopec gas station area at the entrance of a highway, bringing the total number of the facility along the highway to 129.

Nio's goal is to have 169 battery swap stations along the highway by the Chinese Lunar New Year, which falls on February 1.

Nio also added six new supercharging stations today, bringing the total to 481, offering 2,810 charging posts, according to CnEVPost data.

The company also has 576 destination charging stations, offering 3,226 charging posts.
