After warning last week that October's delivery schedule was impacted by a production line revamp, Nio reported a less-than-impressive delivery performance than its major peers.

Vehicle deliveries in October were significantly impacted by reduced production due to restructuring and upgrading of production lines and preparations for new product introductions between September 28 and October 15, as well as certain supply chain volatilities, Nio said.
Nio emphasized that despite production as well as supply chain challenges, the company's new orders reached a new high in October driven by increased customer demand.
Nio ES8 deliveries were at a new low since March last year, when the model delivered just 54 units at the height of the Covid-19, according to CnEVPost data.
Due to the restructuring and upgrade scheduling, the production of the ES8 resumed towards the end of October, Nio said today.
As of October 31, cumulative deliveries of all Nio vehicles reached 145,703 units.
Nio's production schedule in October has been affected by a production line renovation and upgrade, and some orders for vehicles scheduled for delivery in October will be delivered later than originally planned, the company said on October 29.
Nio said the production line at JAC Nio's Hefei advanced manufacturing base completed a phased upgrade to further prepare for the introduction of new models and capacity increase.
In the last 10 days of October, Nio's production line has gradually resumed production and will deliver vehicles as soon as possible, the company said.
The delivery schedule of Nio's flagship sedan ET7 will not be affected, and its production is progressing steadily, the company said.
The company apologized for the delay in delivery of some orders and offered credit compensation to those who were affected.
