Roewe RX3 goes off production line at third plant of SAIC Motor Passenger Vehicle
Shanghai (ZXZC)-The third plant of SAIC Motor Passenger Vehicle has completed construction in Zhengzhou, Henan Province. The new plant will produce 360,000 to 400,000 model units annually after reaching full capacity. Meanwhile, the RX3, Roewe's all-new Internet SUV also went off production line. The new model is positioned as a compact SUV. Adopting the design concept of "rhythm", the new model will hit the market in November.
It is said that four new models will be put into production in SAIC Motor Passenger Vehicle's Zhengzhou manufacturing base, including a new Roewe car model and a new NEV model.
The Roewe RX3 looks aggressive, young, dynamic and wild with a floated-design grille and headlamp, a unique "electric guitar" taillight, and etc. It boasts a premium, neat and high-tech interior with an embedded touch center console, a panoramic sunroof, and a multi-functional steering wheel and the latest Internet system. The RX3 comes fitted with a 1.6L naturally aspirated engine, mated with a CVT. Moreover, the new model will also offer a 1.3L turbocharged engine, mated with an AMT.
