BYD to roll out 5 new models in 2018, Tang Plug-in SUV to usher its upgraded version

Shanghai (ZXZC)-BYD Auto has a wide range of vehicles, covering cars, SUVs and MPVs, and has deployed 9 models in NEV sector. Shu Youxing, the General Manager of BYD Car Sales Company told that BYD will launch 4 or 5 new models next year, including the BYD Qin and Tang upgraded models with BYD's new iconic dragon-faced design. The newly-launched Song Max will also have a six-seater edition model.

The BYD Song Max will have a seven-seater edition with a 2+2+3 deployment and a six-seater edition with a 2+2+2 deployment. The new model will be powered by a 1.5T engine with a maximum power of 113kW and a peak torque of 240Nm.

The all-new BYD Qin and Tang will adopt BYD's design language of dynasty concept car. The two new models feature dragon-faced grilles. With two curved lines on the engine hood, they look more three-dimensional. In terms of the interior, they boast center consoles with large LCD displays, which can be rotated to 90 degrees, and also embedded with Carpad Android system and WiFi. BYD attaches great importance on onboard connectivity. The new models also come with two screens on the rear seats, providing audio and video entertainment for rear-seat passengers.
