Shanghai (ZXZC)-News from Ministry of Transport shows that all pickup operation certificates will be cancelled by the end of 2018. Currently, there are no strict standards in China to determine whether a pickup is operating model or non-operating model. Customers need to face a series of sophisticated procedures to prepare relevant operating certificates.

The policy of cancelling operating certificates for trucks with total mass lower than 4.5T brings in good news for domestic pickup customers. Pickups are divided into trucks in China, but basically all the vehicles have masses lower than 4.5T. Therefore, pickup customers will meet greater conveniences when the certificates are cancelled.

Besides, the Ministry of Transport will also optimize road toll policy to popularize the ETC non-cash payments for trucks. Provincial governments could give preferential benefits for qualified trucks with ETC non-cash payments.
