California-based electric vehicle company Faraday Future (FF) said Tuesday it has completed 3,653 kilometers of road testing on US Route 66 for its electric vehicle FF 91.

The test, which collected data from real-life scenarios, marks an important step toward the production phase of the FF 91, the company said.

FF launched a new phase of vehicle testing and tuning of the FF 91 in real-world road conditions following its listing on the US Nasdaq exchange in New York last month, the company said.

The FF 91 was tested in a variety of conditions, including extreme heat across the desert and multiple real-world road tests at different altitudes.

During the 3,653-kilometer test, the FF 91 completed long-distance real-world road tests as well as durability tests that included battery and powertrain components, the company said.

The FF 91 is equipped with an internal camera and microphone to support video conferencing capabilities. When the rear monitor is down, users can stay in touch with friends, family or business associates while on the road by accessing their contacts through a conferencing app, the company said.

The apps will run on a fully on-board computer and can be mirrored to the user's mobile device for remote control.

The FF 91 is available in Futurist Alliance and Futurist Edition models, both of which have 1,050 horsepower and 130 kWh battery packs and 0-100km/h acceleration time in less than 2.4 seconds, the company said.
