Chinese Auto Companies Accelerate to Promote the Layout in ASEAN Market

Shanghai, September 7, ZXZC - With the launch of “The Belt and Road” policy, more auto companies are expanding in overseas market.

The SAIC-GM-Wuling Indonesia project with a total investment of USD 700m started construction in the summer of 2015, including an engine factory covering an area of 30 acres and a supplier park covering an area of 30 acres. The factory will have an annual capacity of 120,000 units after completion. It is the largest auto manufacturing base in Indonesia invested by China till now.

It’s known that SAIC-GM-Wuling Indonesia subsidiary will export Wuling MPV and other auto models into ASEAN market by building factories, self-decision and building industrial chains.

In the meantime, SAIC-GM-Wuling also makes full use its strong systematic competition to bring a group of domestic and foreign famous part companies into Indonesia and build factories, constructing a competitive overseas ecological system together.

Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor also accelerates to promote the layout in ASEAN market. Currently, Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor mainly sells commercial vehicles to Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Burma, the Philippines, Thailand and Malaysia. Besides, Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor also exports parts to Southeast Asian countries.
