One of China's highest-level meetings calls for support to speed up development of NEVs
The Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee said at a meeting on Friday that the country should tap the potential of the domestic market and support the accelerated development of new energy vehicles, according to Xinhua.
It is one of China's most closely watched high-level meetings, often with policy implications.
The meeting noted the need to do a better job of reducing carbon dioxide emissions and energy conservation and emission reductions, and to issue relevant plans as soon as possible.
The meeting also called for improving China's regulatory regime for Chinese firm's overseas listings.
It also mentioned that China's monetary policy should maintain a reasonable abundance of liquidity, help small and medium-sized companies and difficult industries recover, and promote the stability of commodity prices.
The conference stressed the need to strengthen scientific and technological innovation and industrial chain supply chains, and develop specialized, refined and distinctive small and medium-sized companies.
The meeting called that reform efforts should be stepped up to further stimulate the vitality of market players and adhere to a high level of openness.
