Chinese market, Volvo’s largest single market, shows a single monthly growth of 50.2% in July with the sales volume of 9,276 units. It has a total sales volume of 61,181 units in 2017 with year-on-year growth of 30.5%, far beyond its global growth of 7.9%. The single monthly sales volume of Volvo will grow into 100,000 units, after JRL, Lexus and Cadillac. It is undoubtedly that the joining in of Che Yanhua is essential for Volvo at the present time.

Dongfeng Peugeot also says that Che Yanhua’s resignation will not influence the launching progress of C5 Aircross. It’s also revealed that a new B-class SUV originated from C-Aircross Concept model will also be launched in the latter half of year, apart from the current SUV C3-XR model. The new model will be launched in Europe this year and China in the next year. By that time, SUV products under Dongfeng Peugeot will cover middle-and-high-class, compact and small-size SUV markets.
