Nio says users have driven 200 million kilometers with Nio Pilot

Nio users have driven more than 200 million kilometers (124 million miles) with Nio Pilot, the electric car company's automated assisted driving system, the company reported in a July 14 release.

Nio users have used Nio Pilot for about 2.82 million hours and accumulated 200.5 million kilometers, the company said.

At the end of last year, the company said its users had driven more than 100 million kilometers with Nio Pilot, which took 614 days. That number went from 100 million to 200 million in just 203 days, Nio said.

The company said Nio Pilot has seen a 25 percent improvement in lane change success rates since Nio OS 2.10.0.

Nio Pilot is used most during 4-5 a.m. In addition, more users choose to use Nio Pilot on weekends.

Usage of the feature increased significantly during the holiday season in China this year, the report shows.

Previous reports showed that users used Nio Pilot for more than 4 million kilometers during the seven days of the Chinese New Year holiday alone.

The company said the cumulative maximum usage time for a single user was 1,565 hours and the cumulative maximum mileage for a single user was 113,253 kilometers.

Nio Pilot's longest single-day trip was 1,570 kilometers, the company said, adding that the slowest user with Nio Pilot drove at an average speed of 18.6 km/h (11.5 mph).
