Dongfeng KIA will Release two new models in Chengdu Auto Show
Shanghai, August 18, ZXZC - Dongfeng KIA launched a new product of KX7 this year. It will also release two new models Kaishen and new Forte on Chengdu Auto Show held on August 25th. Kaishen model is the facelift model of K4, and it’s expected that it will be sold together with the current model after being launched.
The B-class car K4 was launched in August, 2016, and it is customized for the domestic market. Kaishen will have great changes in air-inlet grilles and headlights. It will adopt the new family-style designing languages, using more chrome-plated decoration banners and showing a fashionable style. LED light sources will be blended in the headlights and fog lights, showing a distinguished front face. More smooth lines are used in the side body, and changes also take place in wheel rims. Crossing chrome-plated decoration banners are used in the tails and link with tail lights in both sides. The tail lights also use LED light sources. Besides, the new model will equip with two exhaust pipes in both sides.
The new model will continue to use the 1.6T and 1.8L engines, and it’s expected that a new 1.4T engine will be equipped. The 1.6T engine has the maximum power of 129 KW with peak torque of 265 NM, matching with 7-speed dual-clutch gearboxes. The 1.8L engine has the maximum power of 105KW and peak torque of 176 NM, matching with 6-speed MT or 6-speed AMT. The 1.4T engine will have the maximum power of 96 KW and peak torque of 211 NM.
New Forte will use the newly-designed blackened lights on both sides. It has simple and sharp waist lines, showing a young image. It could equip with different wheel rims, rearview mirrors, chrome-plated decoration banners, headlights, LED DRL, sunroof, front fog lights, grille and shark fin antenna. It will equip with a 1.6L naturally-aspirated engine named as G4FG with the maximum power of 90.2KW. Oil consumption per hundred kilometers is 5.7L.
