Baidu Apollo to participate in Shanghai auto show as independent exhibitor for first time
Baidu Apollo recently said it will participate in the Shanghai auto show as an independent exhibitor for the first time, starting April 19, to showcase its smart car solutions.
The company says these solutions include smart driving, smart cockpit, smart maps, and smart cloud, autonomous parking system AVP, and ANP for autonomous driving technology.
Baidu Apollo's technologies for open road experience at the auto show include the WM W6's autonomous parking and ANP, which supports L4 autonomous driving on China's complex urban roads.
Apollo says its smart maps include in-car navigation maps for people, high-accuracy maps for cars, and dynamic twin maps for urban governance.
Apollo says its high-accuracy maps have held the number one market share for many years and are the choice of Honda, GAC, Great Wall Motor, BAIC, Nio, and WM.
Baidu Apollo says its smart cockpit has been installed on more than 600 models of more than 70 car companies, achieving more than 1 million front-mounted mass production installations, and the number one share of the smart car market in 2020.
Apollo says its Smart Car Cloud is built around the core value chain of OEMs, and has launched an automotive cloud solution that includes an autonomous driving middle station, an automotive AI middle station, a marketing brain, and a security brain.
About half of the car companies exhibiting at the auto show are Apollo partners, it said.
