Faraday Future appoints China region CEO, paving way for FF 91 to arrive in China

US-based electric car company Faraday Future (FF) announced on March 17 that Chen Xuefeng has been appointed CEO of its China region, reporting to CEO Carsten Breitfeld.

Chen will become an FF global partner and will be responsible for all FF China operations, including project landing, production strategy, localized product development, and user ecosystem building, the company said.

FF said it is moving full steam ahead with preparations for the landing of its China business and delivery of the FF 91.

Chen has worked for Changan Ford, Changan Mazda, and Chery Jiebao Land Rover since 2002.

Chen joined Chery Jiebao Land Rover in 2013 as executive vice president of manufacturing and was promoted to executive vice president in 2015.

Chen, then 39, was described as "the youngest Chinese head of a joint venture in the Chinese auto industry.

As previously reported by CnTechPost, the merger between FF and Property Solutions Acquisition Corp. will be completed in the second quarter of this year, and the combined entity will be listed on NASDAQ under the ticker symbol "FFIE".

In addition, on March 15, FF announced the completion of FF 91's second season of winter testing in preparation for its launch and sale in the first half of 2022.
