A GAC Aion high-powered super-fast charger in Guangzhou shows a charging current and voltage of 600A and 1000V respectively, which means it can charge up to 600kW, Autohome reported, adding that the charger has a production date of December 28, 2020.

By comparison, the Tesla V3 Supercharger supports up to 250kW of peak charging power. That means this charging pile from GAC Aion has 2.4 times the power of the Tesla V3 Supercharger.

The common fast charging piles of State Grid are 60kW and 120kW, and the average home charging pile is only 7kW.

The charging post interface is shown as available, though it is not known if it is available to the average user.

GAC Aion has previously stated that the graphene fast charging technology will debut on the AION V model and can charge up to 80% in 8 minutes.
