In addition to Nvidia, Nio partners with Qualcomm to give ET7 5G capability
Nio unveiled its long-awaited first sedan, the Nio ET7, on January 9, which uses Qualcomm's chips for 5G capability in addition to Nvidia chips for amazing computing power.
Qualcomm said Saturday that it will work with Nio to bring the latest next-generation digital cockpit technology to the ET7, which will use the third-generation Qualcomm Snapdragon Automotive Digital Cockpit Platform and the Qualcomm Snapdragon Automotive 5G Platform.
The Nio ET7 starts at RMB 448,000 ($69,000) without subsidies and has an NEDC range of more than 1,000 km with a 150kWh solid-state battery.
The Nio ET7 features a second-generation Digital Cockpit with a 12.8-inch AMOLED center display, 10.2-inch digital gauges, and HUD. It also supports 5G/V2X/Bluetooth 5.2/Wi-Fi 6/UWB.
