Chinese EV maker Xpeng today announced the new Xpeng P7 Wing edition, available in 4WD High Performance and Rear-Wheel Drive versions with a subsidized retail price of RMB 366,900 to RMB 409,900.

Xpeng unveiled the model at the 2020 Guangzhou International Auto Show, where the company showed off its P7 smart sedan, the G3i SUV.

The Xpeng P7 Wing edition features scissor doors on the front doors, which are only available on supercars worth RMB 1 million, as well as exclusive shiny green exterior paint.

The P7 Scissor Door Edition comes standard with XPILOT 3.0 hardware, software and upgrades, an 18-speaker Dynaudio audio system, and 14 exclusive benefits including a lifetime warranty on the electric motor and a lifetime warranty on the power battery.

Xpeng Chairman and CEO He Xiaopeng said during the auto show that Xpeng's next-generation automated driving hardware and software systems will be significantly upgraded, bringing improvements in control domain integration, computing power level, high-precision positioning, perception fusion, and other aspects.

In 2021, Xpeng will launch the world's first mass-produced smart car equipped with LIDAR, which was seen as unnecessary by Tesla.

At this stage, LIDAR can effectively improve the vehicle's high-precision identification performance, cover more and more detailed usage scenarios and effectively support the realization of future urban low-speed NGP functions.
