In line with the national strategy of “One Belt One Road”, Geely Group announced that it would invest 30 billion yuan in Xi'an Gaoling to build a new factory and build Central Asia Automobile Industry cluster. Xi'an factory is not the first investment of Geely in Shanxi. Geely Baoji factory was completed in last year and was put into operation in the same year with a designed annual output of 200,000 vehicles. Baoji factory is the one with the most advanced technology among the world's 15 production bases of Geely group. Using the world's most advanced servo press and free coating technology as well as 128 welding robots, Baoji factory are mostly producing Geely Bo Yue now.

As for engine, 1.5TD engine construction project of Baoji factory was started in March last year, with the total investment of 7 billion yuan and a planned annual output of 720,000 units of 1.5TD engines. One of the projects is expected to be completed and put into operation during this year, with an expected production capacity of up to 360,000 units / year. Geely 1.5TD engine is jointly developed by Geely and Volvo. LYNK&CO 1 will be the first the carry the engine.
