Tesla said today that it has officially opened the Chengdu-Lhasa charging route with the opening of Tesla charging stations along with China's National Highway 318, a route of approximately 2011 kilometers with two Supercharger stations and 11 destination stations, one for every 154 kilometers.

The route covers a distance of approximately 2011 kilometers, with two supercharging stations and 11 destination charging stations, one every 154 kilometers on average.

The 13 charging stations are located in Chengdu, Ya'an, Kangding, Xinduqiao, Litang, Batang, Mangkhang, Zuogong, Bajuku, Bomi, Lulang, Gongbujangda, and Lhasa, taking into account road conditions, altitude, hotels, and beautiful scenery along the route.

The different sites have different life service facilities to provide comprehensive support for users on their way into Tibet.

At the same time, Tesla plans to build 4,000+ new superchargers in China, twice the total number built in the past five years.

Tesla has already opened a charging route from Shanghai to Chengdu, but with the opening of the Chengdu-Lhasa charging route, users will be able to travel 5,000 km from Shanghai to Lhasa.
