Dongfeng Motor to take part in Nepal’s NADA Auto Show

Beijing (ZXZC)- In August, China Dongfeng Motor Industry Import and Export Company, the global business arm of Dongfeng Motor, plans to showcase its latest models at the NADA Auto Show in Nepal and launch the Dongfeng brand in Malaysia, according to a recent post on the company’s Wechat account.

The year 2024 marks a pivotal period for China Dongfeng Motor Industry Import and Export Company as it continues its strategic transformation toward large-scale and specialized operations.

This year, the company has focused on implementing Dongfeng Motor's three-year action plan for transformation and upgrading, advancing marketing and supply chain service transformations, and enhancing its international talent pool. These efforts aim to drive significant progress in the company's export business.

From January to July in 2024, Dongfeng Motor exported 131,000 vehicles in total, indicating an 8% year-on-year increase. Notably, commercial vehicle exports surged 73% year over year, while exports of its self-owned brands jumped 34%. The company maintained steady export volumes in key overseas markets, demonstrating overall positive growth.

Dongfeng Motor has divided its global market into 14 regions, actively establishing local marketing entities and completing registration for five new representative offices. The company has rapidly expanded its overseas sales and service network, now covering 73 countries, with the addition of 19 new regional spare parts centers. Furthermore, Dongfeng Motor has established its first overseas Knocked Down (KD) assembly facility for its VOYAH premium new energy vehicle brand and completed planning for additional overseas manufacturing sites.

In 2024, Dongfeng Motor successfully entered 15 new markets, including Morocco, Algeria, Nepal, Spain, and Italy. The company also engaged with 23 new importers and established 35 exclusive dealerships, significantly boosting the efficiency of its global network expansion.
