Affected by the new coronavirus epidemic, sales figures of Chinese car companies entering 2020 have fallen almost across the board, but sales of Hongqi, a brand under China's FAW Group, have achieved growth.

At present, the brand has a total of 5 models for sale, ranging from medium-sized cars to medium and large SUVs.

Hongqi H9, which will be launched this year, is positioned as a medium and large car, further enriching its product line.

Today, the website of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China revealed the application information of Hongqi H9 2.0T models.

The exterior design of the new car is exactly the same as the information previously exposed.

The design of the H9 rear refers to the styling elements of Tiananmen Square. The left and right taillights have evolved from the traditional "palace lights".

At the same time, the new car also provides an optional elegant two-color body, which further highlights the noble identity of the owner.

Hongqi H9 was co-designed by former Rolls-Royce design director Giles Taylor and Chinese designer Ding Yang Feng.

The new car is built with a vertical rear-drive platform. The model applied for this time is equipped with a 2.0T turbocharged engine, with a maximum power of 252 horsepower and a peak torque of 380 N · m, while meeting the national six emission standards.

In the future, the car will also provide a 3.0T V6 version.

The car opened for pre-order on March 7 and is expected to be officially launched in June.

Hongqi released its brand-new flagship sedan H9 at the Great Hall of the People on January 8. The car added more luxury and comfort features and looks a bit like a Rolls Royce.

On the front part, the H9 adopts a larger vertical waterfall grille shape, which creates a strong Rolls-Royce luxurious look.

Its iconic red flag is extended from above the hood to the middle of the air intake mid-net, and the front and body are equipped with horizontal and vertical body lines.

As an executive-class sedan, the car offers a two-tone body paint similar to the Maybach model, positioned at the high end. The interior of the car is heavily decorated with wood grain, leather and chrome materials, and the attributes of luxury cars are strengthened again.
