In the previous financial report, Tesla disclosed the Model Y cross-border sports utility vehicle, which began mass production in January and is expected to begin delivery at the end of the first quarter.

Now, according to Electrek, Tesla has confirmed that delivery will begin in March, and they have started notifying lucky bookers to determine the pickup time.

Although Tesla started mass production of Model Y in the first quarter, at the beginning of the mass production of an electric vehicle, Tesla's output will not be very high, so the delivery volume will not be very large. The latest one will be One of the few lucky ones.

According to Electrek, in an email sent by Tesla to some lucky Model Y subscribers, Tesla stated that their Model Y was ready for delivery in March.

In the email, Tesla informed the Model Y subscribers that they need to determine the next convenient time to pick up the car so that Tesla can ensure the best experience for them.

After determining the convenient pick-up time, Tesla will notify them in the next few days to log in to the Tesla account to complete the remaining steps in the order, and a dedicated Tesla consultant will answer any questions they may have at any time.

Model Y subscribers who received Tesla's e-mail will need to give a time interval when confirming the time when they can pick up the car. Tesla accordingly chose the appropriate delivery time in March.

In terms of specific delivery time, it may not be very fast. According to reports from various sources, Tesla is unlikely to deliver Model Y to consumers before March 15.

Tesla launched the Model Y in March last year. There are four versions of the standard version, the rear-wheel-drive long-endurance version, the dual-motor all-wheel-drive long-endurance version, and the dual-motor all-wheel-drive performance version.

The previous version is planned for mass production in 2021, and the last three versions are scheduled for mass production this year. The current progress is earlier than previously expected.

In China, the locally made Model Y is expected to start production at the Shanghai plant in 2021, according to Tesla's financial report released last month.

Model Y has been put into production ahead of schedule at the Fremont plant in California, USA, and the plant will begin delivering Model Y at the end of the first quarter of 2020.

By mid-2020, when the expansion is completed, the Model 3 and Model Y assembly capacity at the Fremont plant in California should reach 500,000 vehicles per year.

The Berlin/Brandenburg plant in Germany is expected to deliver the first vehicle products by 2021.

At the delivery ceremony of China-made Tesla Model 3 on January 7, Tesla announced the official launch of the China-made Model Y project.

Model Y is a 7-seater SUV with a standard range of 230 miles. The delivery time was previously expected in the spring of 2021.
