Tesla recently sent a long-range all-wheel drive (Long Range AWD) Model Y subscribers a confirmation receipt, saying that they would deliver their long-awaited electric crossovers in March, according to Teslarati.

Earlier, Model Y Performance customers also received similar notifications.

Michael Berman, who ordered the remote all-wheel-drive Model Y, shared the news via Twitter and wrote: "First non performance Model Y invite email just received! I ordered day 1!"

Other Model Y buyers have confirmed Berman's claims. One of them is Anthony Ng, who lives in Fremont, who ordered the car in January. Prospective Model Y owners can choose their convenient delivery date and time from March 15 to 31 between 8 am and 10 pm.

Tesla released the Model Y in March 2019, and began to produce limited electric crossovers in January. The company initially announced that Model Y delivery would begin in the fall of 2020, but later advance to the summer of 2020. In a recent earnings call, Tesla again advanced its schedule and announced delivery at the end of the first quarter.

With Model Y deliveries about six to nine months ahead of schedule, this could be a huge achievement for Tesla in increasing its Fremont plant capacity.

The Fremont plant currently has an annual production capacity of 400,000 Model 3 and Model Y combinations. After the upgrade, the production capacity can be increased to 500,000 vehicles per year.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has said that Tesla's goal is to achieve mass production of Model Y quickly.

"We just launched Model Y as fast as possible and made sure it was a great product. I think there are things that make Model Y unique, so when people disassemble it, they will see Something impressed. "

Compared to Model 3, Model Y is expected to provide Tesla with higher gross margins, and they will all play a key role in helping the company achieve sustainable profitability.
