FAW Starts to Integrate Self-Owned Brands
SHANGHAI May 14th, 2017 ZXZC – There are rumors that FAW and self-owned brands of Dongfeng have been merged together, and FAW has already started to integrate its self-owned brands. On this year’s Shanghai Auto Show, FAW has listed a total of 27 models including four brands----HONGQi, BESTURN, JUNPAI and XENIA, issued auto information technologies, and had two new models----JUNPAI CX65 and HONGQI H5 debuted.
Introduced by Mr. Chen Huanming, deputy secretary of the party committee and vice-general manager of FAW Group, the A-level LanTu power assembly developed by FAW can achieve a fuel consumption of 4L for 100 kilometer, while its HONGQI H7 PHEV can achieve a driving mileage of 800km, and its chassis platform for wheel hub motor EV can make small radius of turning circle, large space and high comfort come true indeed.
It is remarkable that Tianjin FAW XIALI has been the power point of FAW’s self-owned brands and released its newest product strategy in this time’s auto show. It listed a brand new A-level sedan JUNPAI A50, and JUNPAI A70E, A70, the updated SUV D60 which sharing the same platform with dual power. The type of models has become more and more abundant, which shows a multiplex development direction of JUNPAI brand of Tianjin FAW XIALI.
It has been revealed that, FAW and Dongfeng have signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement to set up a prospect and generic technology innovation center together in this February. The two sides may focus on self-owned brands first, to build the core technology competitiveness and lay a solid foundation for the strategic alliance and acquisition of FAW and Dongfeng jointly.
