Zotye increases capacity of 100,000 units, planning to launch 4 SUV models in the year

Shanghai March 28th, 2017 ZXZC-Supported by the good performance of T600, Damy X5, SR7, SR9 and alternative energy vehicles, Zotye ranks top 10 self-independent auto brands with sales volume exceeding 300,000 units in 2016, promoting the brand’s development.

It’s learned that Zotye will also launch 4 new SUV models in the year, further extending its product range. The newly established Jinhua Base has also put new SUV T700 into production, with a total capacity of 100,000 units.

The Jinhua Base has a planned annual capacity of 200,000 units, mainly producing Z700 and T700 series alternative energy vehicles. It’s also learned that Jinhua Base has production capacity on alternative energy vehicles and related key parts, involving Press Shop, Welding Shop, Paint Shop and Assembly Shop and auxiliary shops including R&D center, key part factories, national-level vehicle detection line, test road and united power stations.

It’s revealed that Zotye’s first middle-and-large-size SUV T700 will be launched in May this year, followed by other SUV models. Concept model of T300 has been launched and its Production Model will be on sale in the latter half of year. T500 Concept model will be launched in Shanghai Auto Show and expected to be on sale at the end of year. Besides, the two alternative energy SUV models SR7 EV BEV model and SR9 PHEV model are also planned to be launched in the first and latter half of year respectively.

Zotye has total annual sales of 333,087 units in 2016, increasing 50% year-to-year. It will also launch 7 models to challenge the annual sales target of 400,000 units.

Besides, Zotye will start the platform strategy to promote unified platform. Currently, Zotye has accomplished the resource arrangements on two vehicle platforms, gradually promoting technological developments on unified platform.
