Qoros flagship electric coupe to debut next month in Shanghai
Shanghai,March24th,ZXZC-Qoros launched two all electric concept cars Qoros 3 Q.LECTRIQ and 5 SUVQ.LECTRIQ on 2016 Beijing Auto Show indicating the brand’s development shceme in new energy area.
It is said Qoros plans to bring a three-doors electric sports sedan to Shanghai Auto Show in April,a concept car jointly designed and made by Qoros and Sweden supercar automaker Koenisegg Automovtive AB with a a range over 500km. The new model is possibly named as “Qoros 9” and the production model wil make its debut on Guangzhou Auto Show in November this year. It is expected to be put into production in small volume and come into the market in 2018.
We can see from the offical pictures the concept car has a smooth body which means the wind resistance is lower. Carbonfiber and other lightweight materials are used in the new model to improve the fuel economy without sacrificing the car’s strength.Meanwhile, the brand tries to make sure rear seats are comfortable.
The coupe is of the asymmetric three doors design.The style of the pilot and copliot doors are diffierent from each other as the pilot door is a gullwing door. The driver and the passengers have their own releatively-independent space giving them unique driving experiences. With the Air Flow management system,the Qoros 9 concept car can adjust the winddrag coefficent accrodingly from highspeed to lowspeed mode.
In addition to the electric models,Qoros is scheduled to roll out a new small SUV. In the scheme of Qoros , the brand is to make quick entry into the ev market with the high quality underpinnings and sofiscated new energy technology this year and to build a global NEV platform integrating the techniques,products,services and various modes.
Qoros also joins the campaign in developing the autonomous vehicles, the brand get two self-driving cars testing in the factory in Changshu. More, it will set up a intelligent auto tech centre in Isralle and cooperate with IIsralli company Kenon to develop the auto charing network technology.
