Zhengzhou Nissan to recall 36,929 defective vehicles

BEIJING - Zhengzhou Nissan Automobile Co will recall 36,929 defective vehicles from Oct 12, according to China's top quality regulator.

Due to problematic vacuum booster hoses, the carmaker will recall 26,941 Dongfeng Fengdu MX6 2015-2016 models that were made from Jan 16, 2015 to July 18, 2018, according to a statement on the website of the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR).

Due to defects with mechanical key ignition switches, Zhengzhou Nissan will recall 9,988 NV200 2016 models, Dongfeng Fengdu MX6 and Nissan Navara 2017 models that were made from March 1 to July 27 of 2017, said the SAMR.

The carmaker will check and repair the affected vehicles free of charge, according to the statement.
