Speakers expect clean energy transportation to reach new heights in coming years

Kai-Fu Lee probably will not become a good car salesperson: he insists a car is not efficient in its use.

"Ninety-six percent of the time a car is parked. It only delivers its driving purpose 3 percent of the time," he said at the Audi MQ! Innovation Summit held from Wednesday to Thursday in Beijing.

For the more than 600 participants at the event, there were even more jaw-dropping words from the expert who has worked on AI for 39 years and written books including AI Superpowers about how efficient cars will be when they become autonomous.

"With autonomous driving we will save up to 9 percent of total human time on earth. That is a huge saving," Lee said.

Lee was one of the keynote speakers at the summit, which offered a platform for pioneers, visionaries and technical experts from around the world to share ideas about future mobility trends.
