Chinese electric car startup Human Horizons said on Tuesday that its first model will hit the market during the Beijing auto show which is scheduled to kick off in late September.

Human Horizons said small-volume trial production of the model, a supercar-inspired SUV called HiPhi X, will begin later this year, and deliveries are expected to start in early 2021.

The carmaker said the model is developed based on its Human Oriented Architecture, and can improve its performance through software updates.

The model features a smart system which Human Horizons develops with Microsoft. It has basic reasoning capabilities and can predict what the drivers and passengers may need.

The HiPhi X is expected to have a range of over 610 km on one charge and can finish the zero to 100 km/hour sprint in 3.9 seconds. Human Horizons said it will be equipped for Level 3 autonomous driving.
