Car sales see steady climb in H1

The automobile manufacturing industry in China raked in revenue of 4.29 trillion yuan ($663.77 billion) in the first half of the year, up 28 percent from a year earlier according to the China Association of Mobile Manufacturers on Friday.

The revenue from auto manufacture accounted for 7.2 percent of the total revenue of the industrial enterprises above designated size.

The industry gained 287.68 billion yuan in profit in the first half, up 45.2 percent year-on-year, accounting for 6.8 percent of industrial enterprises above designated size.

The profit growth in the first half is relatively fast, but the growth rate dropped after the first five months, data from CAMM showed.
