SGMW’s sales tops 1.87m and Baojun boosts 60%
Shanghai Dec 8th ZXZC Reporters learn from official news that SGMW has a total sales volume of 1.87m units till November, increasing 4% with the same period of last year. Baojun brand’s total sales volume has a growth of about 60%, leading the growth among all SGMW brands.
This year, Baojun launches a new small-size car model 310, along with 560 and 730 facelift model and their 1.5T version. Till November, Baojun has a total sales volume of 659,300 units, increasing 57.4% with the same period of last year. The high-growth of Baojun adds fuels for SGMW’s recovery in the market.
Wuling brand sells 128,800 units in November, decreasing 9.2% with the same period of last year. Wuling Hongguang, the main sales force, has a sales volume of 68,000 units. The total sales volume of Wuling Rongguang and Zhiguang reaches 60,000 units, less than the same period of last year.
In the future, SGMW will keep on the transferring strategy towards passenger vehicle market to promote its market share. According to plan, Baojun brand R&D center will be constructed in 2018, and its operation will bring a new Baojun model every year. It’s expected that small-size SUV 510, new 730 and 560 facelift models will be launched before the end of 2017.
